Objective: To observe the effect of kaempferide on proliferation and opoptosis of ganstric cancer. Methods: The experiment in vitro, the cell cycle alteration, apoptosis index (AI), morphological change of the cell , the sensitivity of gastric cancer cells to kaempferide and the ultrastructure of SGC7901 were detected by FCM, MTT assay and electron microscope, respectively. The experiment in vivo, based on nude mice models of orthotopic transplantation of human gastric cancer. The expressions of ki67 and bcl-2 were detected by immunohistochemical technique, and apoptosis cells are signing by TUNEL. Results: The inhibiting concetration (IC50)was 253.96μg/ml. In vivo study , growth of tumor was significantly reduced, inhibition rate was 49.66%. The expression of ki67 and bcl-2 decreased significantly in kaempfe -ride group. Conclusion: Kaempferide can reduce the viability of SGC7901 and induce them apoptosis.
