Objective:To analyse the clinical characteristics and the treatment of hyperlipidemic pancreatitis(HLP). Methods: 249 cases from Sep, 2001 to April, 2004 with complete clinical data were retrospectively analysed. Accorrding to the pathogenesis,these cases were devided into four groups:biliogenic pancreatitis group (142 cases), hyperlipidemic pancreatitis group (52 cases),alcoholic pancreatitis group(17 cases)and the others(38 cases). We contrast clinical index in four groups from age the morbidity of complications combination clinical marks, especially focuse on the difference between HLP group and biliogenic pancreatitis group.We contrast the hospitalization, expenditure, complications in four nonoperative treatment groups, analysed the correlation between plasma triglyceridemia(TG) with clinical index. Results: With the same clinical marks,there were significant difference between HLP group and biliogenic pancreatitis group on the side of age, morbidity of relapse,diabete , fatty liver and peduocum, There were significant difference in four AP groups of nonoperative treatment on the side of hospitalization economic expenditure .The clinical marks plasma calcium days of hospitalization were correlate to plasma TG. Conclusion: HLP was frequently in man of middle and young age. Usually with high level of plasma TG,worse condition,long hospitalization. Persistent increased TG and hyperglycemia . lower albumin may aggravate the crisis and lead to multiple system organ failture.Conservative treatment is crucial important.
