An Experimental Study On Quality Of Drinking Water In D City

Water is the source of the life, It is the most essential matter for human to exist. The quality of drinking water affects the health of the human body directly.With the quick development of the modern industry and agriculture, the pollution of surface water in environment is a widespread problem that all the world is facing at the present time.Investigation by the epidemiologist show 80～90% cancer have relation with environmental factor. Because industrial and hospital's waste water, living dirty water are drained in great quantities, and pesticide is run off, pollution of water are resulted in, especially the concentrations and categories of the organic matter are increasing year by year.The whole world has already measured 2221 kinds of organic chemistry pollutants in the water currently,765 among them exist in water supply,20 kinds of them have been confirmed already as cancer-causing matter,23 kinds of them are regarded as suspicious cancer-causing matter,18 kinds of them as promotion matter of carcinogenesis,56 kinds of them as mutational matter. Quality of surface water is aggravating continuously following environmental pollution. International organizations and many countries governments have paid attention to safety problems of drinking water ,and draw up various laws to guarantee the safety of drinking water. What people pay attention particularly to is heredity toxicity of drinking water. Mutation of drinking water in Shanghai, Peking, Harbin etc.has been reported. The question about safety of the drinking water make many people very worry.Perhaps drinking water has mutagenicity. So a study on organic pollution and mutagenicity of drinking water is very necessary. The main purpose of the study is to grasp heredity toxicity, the kinds and concentration of organic matter of drinking water in D City. Assess the quality of drinking water and the source water on heredity toxicity combining the analysis of the organic matter. Analyze and evaluate the side-effect caused by the disinfection method in the water processing at the same time. Provide science basis for the decision of improving water supply. The method is Ames test combining the analysis of the organic matter. Then we carry on the comprehensive assessment. The analysis of the organic matter aims at the surface water. They are determined nature by GC/MS, and determined concentration by HP6890 GC. On the other hand, We enrich 196 liter water, then concentrate it for Ames test with TA98 and TA100. The results show that: 1)The mutation on the groundwater of D city are negative. The groundwater are cleanly. 2)All the tap water from surface water being tested produce different level positive result. The type is direct frameshift mutation. They have heredity toxicity and will harm human. Organic pollutation of the surface water is very serious. The fact owe to disinfection by-products (DBPS) in chlorination disinfection or the low pure degree of chlorine dioxide disinfection. The mutation perhaps is affected by other matter also. Relative departments should attach great importance to the result.
