Objective: The characteristic of epidemiology and rules of trauma of on the road traffic accident is researched in order to provide the bases data for first aid of trauma and preventing and reducing the road traffic accident. The significance is explored the relationship between the road traffic accident and blood alcohol concentration of drunk drivers for forensic medicine. Method: The restropective statistical annlysis was carried out in 366 cases of death on road traffic accident and 2005 cases of blood alcohol concentration of drunk drivers with detailed data admitted in the Center of judicial expertise of Kunming Medicine College. Result: Ratio of road traffic accident per ten thousand vehicles was higher than national and Yunnan province average level, and the mortality of one hundred kilometres, the mortality of per one hundred thousand populations and corrected comprehensive mortality in kunming regions in 2004 was higher than the average level in Yunnan province. The death age distributed to report to be partial to the normal school distribution, from 25 years to 54 years old shared 58 percent that die the number. Time that die the traffic accident distributes 19 to 0 hours was the tallest, occupying 29.2%, the next in order is 13-18 hours, occupying 23.2%. The number of crush injury and temp injury at in-car was higher than that of out-car. The facial bone fracture in driver of motor vehicle was higher 2.3 times than pedestrian injuries. The open cerebral injury occurred in truck and tractor was 3-5 times than the other vehicle's.The wheel injury was 1-2 times than other vehicle's. The rate of cerebral injury on saloon car traffic accident was higher than that of other vehicle's, but the rate of skull and facial bone fracture was lower than that of the others. Drive after drinking was account for 34.3% of causing total accident deal, die to account for 11.1% of total amount. Driving after drink alcoholwas regarded male as principle, the rate of female drunk-drive was no difference compared with the male, drunk-drive at downtown was higher than suburban area. The injury traffic accident of drive after drinking was increasing with the blood alcohol concentration raising, and the mortality of traffic accident caused by drive after drinking was also increasing with the blood alcohol concentration raising. The logistic equation was established among the death on the spot with the bone fractures and the body surface injuries. The related injuries of causing death on the spot was the spinal column bone fracture, pelvis bone fracture, head neck injury one by one in order. Conclusion: The rate of road traffic accident in kunming region is higher than the average level of nation and the other regions of Yunnan province; The different vehicle cause the characteristics of the trauma who has different, the compound injuries caused by truck and tractor is higher than other vehicle's; The rate of cerebral injury on saloon car traffic accident was higher than that of other vehicle, but the rate of skull and facial bone fracture was lower than that of the others. The closed related trauma of causing death on the spot was the spinal column bone fracture on the logistic equation; The traffic accident after drinking in the region of kunming motoring obvious higher than national average level, the rate of female drunk-drive was no difference compared with the male; Drunk-drive at downtown was higher than suburban area. The injury traffic accident of drive after drinking was increasing with the blood alcohol concentration raising, and the mortality of traffic accident caused by drive after drinking was also increasing with the blood alcohol concentration raising.
