Ureter Stone: CT Diagnosis And Comparative Study Of Conventional Imagiology

Objective: Comparing the conclusion in CT examination and conventional imagelogy with the position ,size and the changes which were secondary to ureter calculus in operation which retrospectively analyzed and summaried, evaluate the reliability to diagnosis ureter stone by CT and conventional imagelogy. Methods: 184 cases with ureter stone in 2003-2004 were collected ,those who were comfimed by operation. Comparing the opration record of patients with conclusion in CT examination and conventional imagelogy ,in order to judge and contrast reliability in diagnosis.169 cases of ureter stone were examined by x-ray film ,41 cases were examined by CT ,and 162 cases were examined by BUS .Statistics software is SPSS 12.0 FOR WINDOWS. Results: the first imagelogy by which diagnosis ureter calculus is x-ray film . x-ray film,which accuration were affected by lots of fators. The detected rate by x-ray film 71.6% and the detected rate by ultrasound is 60.5% .ureter calculus were showed as high as density on CT scans,the attenuation valuses of ureter calculus were beyond 205 Hu;the detected rate by CT in small ureter calculus is 92.9%,which surpass the detected rate by x-ray film or ultrasound.CT scanning in patients with ureter calculus ,can directly and accurately shows the thickness of renal parenchyama/the volume of kidney ,hydronephrosis and ureterectasia .enhan-ced-CT scanning not only can discriminate ureter calculus but also can evaluate the function of kidney. Conclusion: At present,CT is most valuable technique for diagnosising ureter calculus especially small ureter calculus. Usually,CT scanning is effectual and additional imagelogy for diagnosising ureter caculus.
