Clinic Significance Of Neuropeptide In Severe Hepatitis

Object:Through detecting the serum levels of NP(CGRP VIP NPY) in patients with severe hepatitis,to discuss their clinical significance.Material and methods:In our hospital ,from May 2003 to May 2004,serum levels of CGRP VIP NPY and LPS PT were measured by ELISA from 60 patients with severe hepatitis and cirrhosis and 20 heathy donors. The severe hepatitis patients were treated with ALSS. The serum CGRP VIP NPY and LPS concentration were measured before and after treatment in severe hepatitis patients.The relation between the changes of serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration after treated with ALSS and these patients serum LPS were analysed.Result:The serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration were significantly inceased in severe hepatitis patients, compared with cirrhosis patients and heathy donors. In the patients with severe hepatitisserum CGRP VIP NPY concentration showed good correlation with serum LPS level respectively, the serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration in patients with severe hepatitis downregulated greatly after treated with ALSS.Conclusions:l.The serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration was significantly inceased in patients with severe hepatitis .More serious was the state of severe hepatitis, higher was the serum CGRP VIP NPY level. 2.The serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration had good correlation with serum LPS level, which accouted for they hasing a positive effect on hapetic injury by LPS.3. Since the serum CGRP VIP NPY concentration was significantly deceased in patients with severe hepatitis after treaed with ALSS, they could be used to evaluate the state and prognosis of severe hepatitis.
