ObjectiveThe present study was designed to systemically evaluate the visual performance after penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) with the combined method clinically. To analyze the changes of different refractive components with experimental observation and to evaluate the relation .To summarize the axial length and comeal refractive changes reduced by the difference of donor button and host bed, build up the mathematic models of regression equationsMethod1. A total of 20 eyes of 17 consecutive patients who underwent penetrating keratoplasty were studied, visual acuity; comeal curvature and spherical equivalent were measured preoperative and 1-,3-,6-,12-months postoperative at intervals. According to the astigmatism taken by keratometry and comeal topokeratograpy, to selective detach the interrupted suture to decrease the postoperative astigmatism, evaluate the visual quality with the parameters of visual acuity (VA);corneal dioptric power (CDP); spherical equivalent (SE) and comeal astigmatism (CA).2. 16 eyes of new Zealand white rabbits (NZW) were built up the animal model of PKP. To classified the rabbits to four groups, all the diameter of adopt buttons were 7.0mm, the donor diameter of group one was 7.0mm, and others were 7.25mm; 7.5mm; 8.0mm differently. To examine the changes of the comeal thickness (CT ) ; comeal dioptric power (CDP); anterior chamber depth (ACD ) ; lens thickness ( LT ) and axial length(AL) before and post-operation lweek,2weeek,lmonth,2months and 3months. To analyze the relations among the different refractive competent and to build up the regression equations of difference of donor button and host bed(A d )and comeal dioptric power, difference of donor button and host bed(△ d) and axial length at 1,2,3month post-operativeResults1. VA were greatly improved postoperative, uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA) was 0.58±0.37; best correct visual acuity(BCVA) was 0.96±0.27, the first suture were removed at approximately 6.28±3.21months,the mean comeal curvature was...
