Objective To provide experimental basis to study Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infected disease and filtrate anti-virus drugs, HCMV acute interstitial pneumonia murine model was established. To investigate the effect of Shuanghuanglian(SHL) on the load of lung HCMV DNA in mice infected with HCMV. Methods The study has two parts. The first one is the establishment of murine model of HCMV interstitial pneumonia. Thirty 34 week Balb/c mice were divided into 3 groups, five female and five male mice in each group. The mice in group A were injected 106 TCID50 HCMV AD169 strain 0. 5 ml per mouse intraperitonealy. Each mouse in group B and C were injected Human fetal fibroblast(HF) and Dulbecco modified Eagle medium(DMEM) 0.5 ml respectively. The rate of breath and weight of mice were observed, specific anti-HCMV antibody in serum was detected by ELISA, and viral isolation, Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and pathological examination of lung tissue were performed as well. The second part is to study the treatment of SHL. Sixty 34 week Balb/c mice were divided into 6 group, five female and five male mice in each group. The mice in control group were subjected to the intraperitoneal injection of DMEM 0. 5 ml per mouse. The mice in other groups were injected 106 TCID50 HCMV AD169 strain 0. 5 ml per mouse.
