Objective: To establish the CK animal model and to observe the corneal tissue injury and pathological changes during the period of injury repair after CK. Methods : Detect the collagen and α — SMA in corneal stroma by immunohistochemistry and observe the collagen and keratocyte by electron microscope. Results: Collagen type Ⅰ , Ⅲ , Ⅳ , Ⅴ , Ⅵ are expressed in normal corneal. The expression of collagen type Ⅰ, Ⅲ, Ⅴ is enhanced after CK in 6 months. α-SMA is negative in normal cornea and positive after CK form 3 days to 1 month. Collagen is irregular and the cylinder footprint wound can be seen and keratocytes are active after CK. All the changes have stabilized about 3-6 months. Conclusions: The injury of CK is weak and the changes of collagen structure are extended. The function of CK is predictable and stable.
