Objective: This study was designed to investigate whether transplantationof bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(Mscs) have an improvement on theearly stage function of acute myocardial infarction and boost the theexpression of heat shock protein 70Methods: Adult SD rats were required in this study.Acute myocardialinfarction was induced by ligating the left anterior desending artery.Therats were randomized into four groups and two stages weredesigned.First:one group received the transplantation of Mscs markedwith Brdu and the other were injected with culture medium only.Seconed:one group received the transplantation of Mscs marked with Brdu and theother were given Mscs marked with Brdu but polymyxin B was also requiredat the same time. One,three, seven and fourteen days aftertreatmemt ,hemodynamics and the expression of heat shock protein 70(HSPs)were examined. Results: After the operation ,ruptured myocardium tissues could beseen. Mscs marked with Brdu were also visible after transplantation andtransmited to the edge of infarction areas, some emerged with myocardiumcells around. More edema cells and fragements appeared in group receivedpolymyxin B than those only Mscs were given while no apparent localtransimission was seen.Significant ameliorate exist between Mscs groupwith blank control and Mscs group with Mscs and polymyxin B group on+dp/max, -dp/max,LVSP and LVDP on homologous day after operation.Theexpression of HSPs of Mscs group were stronger than blank control and Mscsand polymyxin B group on the same day after treatments and began todecrease after seven days. Conclusions: The transplantation of Mscs can boost the expression ofheat shock protein 70 and improve the early stage function of acutemyocardial infarction.
