Effects Of Thioredoxin ASON To Biological Characteristcs Of Prostate Cancer PC3 Cells

Objective To probe into the effects of thioredoxin ASON to biological characteristics of prostate cancer PC3 cells.Methods The Trx-ASON was designed and synthesized to transfect prostate cancer PC3 cells with liposome. The cellular proliferation activities were detected by MTT colormetric assays. The apoptosis was detected by laser scanning confocal microscope,DNA gel electrophoresis and flow cytometry.Results The proliferation of PC3 Cells was inhibited when transfected with Trx ASON with partial cancer cells presenting characteristic changes of apoptosis.Conclusions The in vitro growth activities of prostate cancer cells could be inhibited by blocking expression of Trx with ASON,which might be a potential gene therapy strategy of prostate cancer.
