Objectives : To study the effect of cystathionine βsynthase(CBS) T883C gene mutation to the plasma homocystine level after methionine loading test (MLT) and cerebral infarction in young adults. Methods: we studied cerebral infarction of young adultsin-patient (age≤55), which were sicken in two days, in 2000-2003 years. The fast plasma homocystine(Fhcy)and homocystine after MLT(Phcy) level were measured by high performance liquid chromatography methods. Selected 75 patients with cerebral infarction and 52 normal individuals both with normal Fhcy level, The age and sex of the control group matched with the patient group. CBS T833C genetype were analyzed by amplification refractory mutation system(PCR-ARMS). serum lipids and glucose were detected were examed by TBA—120FR automatic analyse machine.Results:①The level of the fast homocysteine in patient groupand of its Phcy are respectively 12. 90±2. 69 μ mol/L and 46.00 ± 13. 12μmol/L, The level of the fast homocysteine in control group and of its Phcy are respectively 12. 71 ± 2. 48μmol/L and 35.96 ± 3. 71μmol/L, The level of Fhcy in patient group isn' t different from the one of control group(p>0. 05), but the level of Phcy in patient group is higher than the one of control group(p<0.01).(2)38. 7% Hhcy patients in case group are founded after MLT significantly higher than that of control group which is 3.85% (P?There were three kinds of genotypes in CBS gene T833C polymorphisms : homozygous mutation (C/C) , heterozygous mutation (C/T) and wild type (T/T).(4)The frequencies of CBS gene C/C, C/T, T/T genetype and C alleles in patientgroup are, respectively, 16%, 40%, 44% and 36%, are respectively 3. 8%, 25%, 71.2%, and 16. 3% in control group. The frequencies of CBS gene C/C, C/T, T/T genetype and C alleles in the Hyperhomocysteine after MLT(PHhcy) patient group are respectively 34.5%, 51.7%, 13. 8% and 60. 34%, in the no Hyperhomocysteine after MLT (NPHhcy) patient group are respectively 4. 3%, 32. 6%, 63. 0% and 20. 65%. The frequencies of CBS gene C/C, C/T, T/T genetype and C alleles in patient group and Phhcy patient group are all significantly higher than those in control group and NPHhcy patient group(p<0. 01).?The same tendency of Phcy levels in three genotypes exists in patient and control group, the level of Phcy in C/C genotype is higher than that in C/T or T/T genotype (p<0. 01). The Phcy levels of Fhcy group in three genotypes are not different(p>0. 05). In Phhcy patient group the level of Phcy in C/C genotype is higher than that in C/T and T/T genotype(p<0.01), the level of Phcy in C/T genotype is higher that in T/T genotype(p<0. 05).In NPHhcy patient group the level of Phcy in C/T genotype is higher that in T/T genotype (p<0. 05),...
