Research On Technology Support System Of Medical Response To Biological Attack

"Anthrax event" in U. S. aroused all world's attention on bio-attack. In foreign countrys, information systems of biological defense area are developed for many years, and have been abroad used in bio-defense and the response of biological emergency. The bio-attack is also a important threat factor to our country. In bio-weapons defense area, and expecially in the area of response to biological emergency, we need bio-defense technology support and decision making support system.This research aim to fill with bio-defense technological requirement. After summing up present bio-defense scientific research outcomes and relevant literatures, we definitized the technology construct of bio-defense area and applied experiences of decision support system's development into the development of technology support system ( TSS ) of medical response to biological attack. We surveyed computer hardwares and softwares that were common used in medical defense and epidemic prevention area, then we chosed softwares like VB6.0, Frontpage 2000, etc. composed flat of TSS development. TSS was developed with Windows' common interface, reasonable system construct and simple operation. TSS include basal theory of bio-defense, key technology, law and criterion, etc.. It can be used by most users without training.TSS can provide: (1)Key processes of medical response in bio-defense; (2)Method and process of biological agents'identification technology; (3) Knowledge and background about history of bio-weapons , characteristics of biological agents, etc.(4) Laws, criteria, and response programs to emergency. TSS has interface with bio-hazard evaluation models which were still in reserching, and they will be intergrated with each other in the future.
