Association Of HLA-DRB And -DQB Alleles With Eales' Disease In Han Chinese Population

Objective To access the association of HLA-DRB and–DQB alleles with Eales'disease, and to investigate the potentialimmunogenetic mechanism of Eales'disease.Methods The alleles in DRB and DQB1 loci of 27han-nationality patients with Eales'disease in Northern China,matched with 30 healthy controls, were subtyped by polymerasechain reaction-sequence specific primer (PCR-SSP), then thechorology of DRB and DQB1 alleles in the two groups wererespectively analyzed by SPSS (Statistics Package for SocialScience) for windows ver 12.0 software.Results The frequencies of HLA-DRB1*04 were increasedin patients with Eales'as compared to the controls, with odds ratio(OR) 3.20 ,OR 95% confidence interval(CI)1.00 ~ 10.21 andP-value 0.047.Conclusions DRB1*04 is positively associated with Eales'disease in Han Population of Northern China, suggesting thatDRB1*04 may be the susceptible gene.
