Objective: investigate the normal tricuspid valvular complex anatomically, in order to provide accurate data based on anatomy for the diagnosis of valvular disease with ultrasonography and the heart surgical treatment. Methods: 30 normal hearts without any disease are acquired from 30 cadavers preserved by formalin for 1~2 years, whose ages are among 18~65. All the valves are released in nature. Transparent elastic plastic board, inelastic number 1 silk thread, vernier caliper (accuracy: 0.02mm), plotting paper, pin and torch are used in the measurement othoptically. The following elements are studied: the long and short semidiameters, circumference, area, the width of the annulus of the atrioventricular orifice; the length of the attached margins of the tricuspid valve and the ratios of them to the circumference of the whole right atrioventricular respectively; the positions of each commissures of the tricuspid valve seen in the superior direction and the orifice is regarded as a clock; the projections of each commissures on the outside of the heart; the length and the width of the moderator band,the projection on the outside of the heart of the moderator band ; the configuration of the tricuspid valve; the area, height and the numbers of scallops of each valves; the height and the area of each band of the valves individually; the height of each commissure; the dropped width of the septal cusp of tricuspid valve; the configuration ,area, length and width of the membranous part of the septum; the configuration, numbers, height, width and projection on the outside of the heart of the papillary muscles; the length and numbers of chordae teninease. Results: ①the long and short radii are 3.112±0.332cm and 2.124±0.229cm respectively; the area of the atrioventricular orifice is 7.969±1.069cm2; the width of the annulus of tricuspid valve is about 1~2mm.②the circumference of the atrioventricular is 9.103±0.968cm, the attached margins of each valve are 2.712±0.582cm(anterior),2.848±0.591cm(posterior),2.512±0.600cm(septal),and the ratios of which to the circumference of the atrioventricular respectively are 0.292±0.064cm(anterior),0.337±0.068cm(posterior),0.337±0.068cm(septal).③it is supposed that the three valves are arranged in a clock plane and the midpoint of the posterior part of the annulus of tricuspid valve is 12 o'clock, then the posteroseptal commissure is 1 o'clock, anteroseptal is 4 o'clock and the anteroposterior commmissure is 8 o'clock.④the length of the moderate cord is 0.937±0.369cm and the width is 0.305±0.086cm..⑤the average height of anteroseptal commmissure, anteroposterior commmissure posteroseptal commissure are 0.866±0.195cm , 1.537±0.345cm and 1.066±0.240cm;the height of anterior valve,posterior valve and septal valve are 2.090±0.170cm, 1.889±0.163cm, and 1.386±0.292cm, and the area of which are 4.93±0.679cm2, 3.499±0.471cm2and 3.510±0.480cm2 respectively; the total area of tricuspid valve is 11.942±1.606 cm2;the height of basal band, rough band and transparent band of anterior valve are 0.342±0.264cm, 0.916±0.272cm and 0.830±0.230cm,and that of the posterior valve are 0.173±0.167cm, 1.000±0.137cm and 0.774±0.193cm, the septal valve are 0.150±0.140cm,0.875±0.108 cm and 0.398±0.222cm; the area of basal band, rough band and transparent band of anterior valve are 0.499±0.099 cm2,2.334±0.310cm2 and 1.850±0.988cm2, and that of the posterior valve are 0.372±0.129cm2,1.578±0.272cm2 and 0.871±0.430cm2, the septal valve are 0.499±0.077cm2,1.764±0.374cm2 and 0.433±0.294cm.⑥the lowest dropped width of the septal valve is 0.515±0.095cm in adult. And attached margin the septal valve on the interventricular septum is about 0.664±0.225cm lower than that of the anterior valve of mitral valve. ⑦the area of membranous part of interventricular septum is 0.490cm2, and that of the interatrial septum is 0.334cm2; the total area of membranous part is 0.834cm2; the ratio of...
