| The odontoid process was a dentation above the odontoid vertebra and organized the joint with the atlas and was a best important central axis construct stabilization and motor function about odontoid vetebra and atlas. The incidence of odontoid frcture was higher.It was 8%~15% in full cervical spine fracture.It was 10%~20% in full cervical spine injury.The incidence of nerve injury was 6%~25% in full odontoid fracture.The total death rate of odontoid fracture was 3%~8%.The anatomic structure of odontoid process was complex and the vertebra with appendix overlap each other and the structure of vertebra canal delitescenced made the detection of routine X was limited and the rate of missed diagnosis raised.Multilayer spiral CT can succession and fast scan imaging with deuto-second.The volume data acquisition and the superordinary multi-axle three-dimentional reconstruction could do diagnosis and typing quickly and exactly.The author observed and analysised 32 cases odontoid fracture and combined with literature. It did typing with the spiral computed tomography three-dimentional reconstruction according to the requirement of the clinical surgery and the typing of Anderson-D'Alonzo.Type â… .The oblique fracture at the top of odontoid process was 4% in the full odontoid fracture.Type â…¡:The fracture at unification both odontoid process and odontoid vertebra body was 65% in the full odontoid fracture.It was divided three subtype.
