Expressions Of E-Cadherin And β-Catenin In Bladder Transitional Cell Carcinoma

ObjectiveTo study the expressions and the clinical significance of E - cadherin ( E -cad)and β -catenin (β-cat) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC).MethodsImmunohistochemical method was used to detect E - cad and β - cat expressions in 60 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma.ResultsThe abnormal expression rate of E - cad and β - cat was63. 3% and55.0% respectively. Expression of E - cad and β - cat were concomitantly either normal or abnormal in tumors, the correlation between E - cad and β - cat expression being highly significant( P < 0. 05 ).
