Objective To compare and evaluate the value of Three kinds of MRA in the arteries of low limbs. And explore the value of MRI in the diagnosis of the obstructive diseases in the lower limbs vesselsMethods 1. Volunteers group: MC MRA, 2D TOFMRA, and Sliding interleaved ky (SLINKY) acquisition for 3D TOFMRA were performed in the low leg of fourteen volunteers. The quality of three kinds pictures was compared and analyzed. 2. Clinical application: MRA was performed in 67 patients with suspended extremities vessel obstructive diseases. 25 patients suspended arterial diseases had been performed 2D TOFMRA, and eight of these people had been performed DCE-MRA (dynamic contrast enhanced MRA) . The others suspended venous diseased had been performed 2D TOFMRA, and those patients who had positive findings had been performed other MRI examinations in SE, FSE and FAST. The findings of MRI were compared with that of DSA. The data of MRA were reformed in MIP and MPR. 32 of those 67 patients had been performed DSA. The results of MRA and DSA were compared and analyzed. Results 1. Results of experiment: MC MRA costs least time, and restrains background noise well. But MC MRA can not remove the veins. The vessels including branches can be shown clearly and uniformly with 2D TOFMRA. 3D TOFMRA shows the vessels closely resembling, but costs more times. 2. Results of clinical application: In all 67 cases, 26 cases showed venous obstructive diseases, in which 22 cases showed deep vein thrombosis, 4 cases the Iliac vein compression syndrome. 19 cases showed arterial obstructive diseases, in which 18 cases the chronic obstructive diseases, 1 case acute arterial embolism. The results of DSA were regard as golden standard, the accuracy of 2D TOFMRA in evaluation the degree of stenosis is 88.49%, but it also over-estimated some cases. 2D TOFMRA had diagnosised all the patients had DVT which DSA comfirmed, and the false-positive patient were not found. Combined with other MRI sequences, 2D TOFMRA can diagnosis the age of the thrombus.Conclusion 2D TOFMRA should be the preferred routine MRA in the exam of the low limb arteries. 2D TOFMRA can diagnosis the stenotic vessels correctly but it over-estimates the degress of stenotic vessles. As a non-invasive examination, MRA isa kind of useful examinations in the diagnosis of the obstruct diseases of low limb. Combined with other MRI sequences, 2D TOFMRA is useful in diagnosis DVT.
