| Background and Objective: Cancer biotherapy is one of the treatments with new hopes, which is being broadly researched in laboratories and tested in clinical medicine, we aim to the day that drugs with little side-effect in anti-cancer treatment of the medicine were come into. Anti-angiogenesis drugs were widely focused on. This experiment was designed to study the anti-cancer growth and metastasis effects of angiogenesis inhibitor TNP-470 combination with differention inducer RA by human colon cancer xenografts and liver metastasis into nude mice.Methods: Implanted and liver metastases tumor into nude mice with colon cancer of LOVO cell was established. The nude mice were divided into 4 groups at random: control group; TNP—470(30mg/kg) group; RA( 1.5mg / kg) group; combined treatment group of both TNP—470 and RA (TNP—470 30mg / kg + RA 1.5mg / kg) . Treated respectively from one day after implanted and metastased, all the nude mice were sacrificed by the end of treatment. We observed the inhibition of tumor growth through weighing the tumor; quantitating microvessel density (MVD) and the apoptosis index (AI) of xenografts tissue; morphological change of apoptosis in LOVO cells was observed. The liver metastasis rate and tumor foci as well as expression of VEGF and MVD in the liver metastatic tumors were counted.Results:There was significant difference in the weight of implanted tumors, which the combination group was different from the control group, TNP—470 group and RA group (P<0.05); the TNP—470 group , the RA group was also different from the control group (P<0.05). TNP—470 and RA had an additive effect on tumor inhibition.
