Results (1)17 patients include 9 males and 8 males, at an age range of 32—85. (2) Atrial fibrillation, hypertension, valvular disease or other diseases which could result in thrombus or embolism are very frepquent in our patients(13/17). (3) The major clinical presentations are stomachache(13/17), diarrhea(10/17), absence of breaking wind and defecation(3/17), hematochezia(10/17), vomitus(10/17). (4) Definite diagnosis are usually got with the help of B ultrasound(8/14), CT scan(1/17), DSA(3/17) and operation(5/17). (5) we hold a high misdiagnosis rate with intestinal ischemia patients. The acute patients were usually misdiagnosed as acute pancreatitis (3/12), acute gastroenteritis(3/12), or in a preliminary diagnosis of intestinal obstruction(4/17). While the chronic patients were frequently confused with ulcerative colitis(1/5). Conclusion Owning a low incidence rate, a high misdiagnosis rate and a bad prognosis, intestinal ischemia should cause our great attention, especially for the patients with Atrial fibrillation, hypertension or valvular disease,et al.
