To study the effect of electroacupuncture against apoptois gent of Bcl-2 and Fas of rats with focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion . Methods SD rats were divided into eight groups: normal group, sham operation group, model group a, model group b, model group c, electroacupuncture group A, electroacupunction group B, electroacupuncture group C. Block the rats' middle cerebral artery with line peg method induce focal brain ischemia in rats. "Dazhui""Neiguan" of both side were electroacupunctured. By the experimental technology of enzyme immunoassay, the number and the changes of apoptosis in various times of hippocampi Cl, the protein expression of Bcl-2 and Fas in ischemic cortex, and the effects on above item of electro acupuncture were observed and account of acute focal brain ischemia in rat Results (l)After ischemia and reperfusion, the changes in various time, the protein expression of Bcl-2 in hippocampi Cl,peaked at 24h of reperfasion. After electroacupuncture, the expression of Bcl-2 increased significantly after ischem reperfusion in the same time. (2)After ischemia and reperfusion, the changes in various time of the protein expression of Fas in hippocampi Cl, the protein expression of Fas peaked at 48h of reperfasion. After electroacupuncture, the expression of Fas decrease after ischem reperfusion in the same time. (3)The neuronal apoptosis progressively increased with time after reperfusion. The electroacupuncture might inhibit apoptosis. Conclusion The neuronal apoptosis in ischemia and reperfusion, the electroacupuncture might up-regulated the protein expression of Bcl-2, and down-regulated the expression of Fas, inhibit apoptosis, Electroacupuncture can produce a marked protecting effect on the brain, and prove electroacupuncture might inhibit apoptosis more after ischemia and reperfusion on molecular mechanism level...
