Objective:Through the income and expend analysis form 1993 to 2003 of Liaoning provincial hospitals, find whether the change of pharmacy income proportion has relationship with income and expend. Supply information to hospital and superior director for future development. Method:Choosing financing data of 15 Liaoning provincial hospitals from 1993 to 2003 as research object. Analyze the income and expend at whole level, medical level and pharmacy level to find the change of whole level and inside proportion and the influence of pharmacy income proportion to hospital. Using stepwise regression in SPSS to research the correlated indicators to pharmacy income proportion. Result: 1.The decline of pharmacy income proportion is an efficient method to solve the phenomena of hospital relying on pharmacy to live: The pharmacy income proportion declined form 66.93% in 1993 to 43.04% in 2003, the phenomena of hospital relying on pharmacy to live has changed in some degree. The medical income proportion has risen with the increasing of total income. The medical income has been the main part of hospital. 2.The inside change of medical income with the decline of pharmacy income proportion: With the policy of adjusting medical serve price, the proportion of examining income, test income, therapy income in medical income has declined, although the proportion is high and the increasing speed of these amount is quick. The increasing speed of operation income proportion has been slow down. At the same time, the increasing speed of diagnose income, nurse income is high, which reflect more technology and more manpower. 3.The result of stepwise regression: Through stepwise regression in SPSS, the indicators: year, outpatient times, inpatient fee per pay per bed, building asserts/total capital asserts is included. Pharmacy income proportion has negative correlation with year and inpatient fee per pay per bed, has plus correlation with outpatient times and building asserts/total capital asserts. 4.The decline of pharmacy income proportion is a factor to change the medical income-expend status: Object hospitals'medical expend ratio decreased from 0.48 in 1993 to 0.18 in 2003, indicating that the medical income-expend status is changing to good with the decline of pharmacy income proportion. Through quantitative analysis, object hospitals have decreased medical expenditure to the bad 300,000,000RMB because of the decline of pharmacy income proportion. 5.The decline of pharmacy income proportion weaken the leverage of pharmacy expenditure to hospital: With the decline of pharmacy income proportion and pharmacy final income increasing speed, pharmacy income proportion declined form 66.93% in 1993 to 43.04% in 2003, pharmacy final income increasing speed is just 6.36% in 2003. The leverage of pharmacy price difference policy has been weak to hospital. At the same time, the medical burden of residents has been lightened though pharmacy biding purchase. Conclusion and policy advice: The decline of pharmacy income proportion and the raise of medical income proportion have made the hospital income structure more reasonable, made the income more profitable. It is good to the development of hospital. The decline of pharmacy income proportion is an efficient way to change hospital from external produce to internal produce. Hospital should stop the bad action of make relationship between pharmacy income and income distribution, establish pharmacy income proportion for each clinic section office, reinforce moral education to doctor and nurse. Government should increase the input to hospital as reasonable compensation to medical serve, adjust medical serve price to make it equal to working value of doctor and nurse.
