To construct a database of gene and protein that related with depression and to provide a useful query tool that made uses easily access to the biomedical information that related with depression. With Windows 2000 Server Family being used as operating system, computer and network were used as hardware to build a condition .Based on that condition, we construct a database. a great deal data of genes and proteins that related with depression was collected from GenBank and Swiss-prot. The data of genes and proteins that related with depression was classified and a database of gene and protein related with depression was constructed. Tables of the database were connected by "symbol". With Microsoft Access being used as the background, we used the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Family as the server system to realize the connection of ODBC with data source.
