Objective To analyze soluble antigens of Taenia Saginata. Methods Using SDS-PAGE , enzyme linked immunotransfer blot (EITB) and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to analyze the immunological characteristics of Taenia Saginata soluble antigens. Result Antigens from different growth stage of Taenia Saginata were analyzed by SDS-PAGE. The result showed 37 protein bands in mature proglottid, 35 protein bands in gravid proglottid which were as same as that of the mature proglottid ,9 protein bands in egg , 12 protein bands in Cysticercus bovis which have obvious difference from mature s. After EITB , the sera from Taenia Saginata patients were tested with antigen of mature proglottid from Taenia Saginata loaded.Nc stips and the result showed 10 reaction bands. Among these 10 bands , 5 bands with components of 30, 26, 23, 17 and 10-12kD did not react with sera from normal human and Hydatidosis patients. The common reaction bands with sera from Taenia Saginata patients and Hydatidosis patients were 182, 18, 15and 13kD. Measured with the soluble antigen from mature proglottid by ELISA, the positive rate of Taenia Saginata paetients was 95. 5% . Conclusion Amomg the different growth stage antigens from Taenia Saginata , the number of antigen components from mature proglottid was the greatest one and low molecular weight protein was the major immunological antigen. It was an important reference for diagnosing Taenia Saginata infection in human .
