| Object: To investigate the electroneurophysiological characteristics of nerve of the somatosensory evoked potentials and electromyography in patients with lumbar in tervertebral disc extrusion. Methods:30 cases of lumbar in tervertebral disc extrusion in clinical received SEP and ENG. examination with a Keypoint electromyography and evoked potential, comparing with 30 normal peoples. Results: The SEP abnormal was found in 24 patients, the abnormal rate was 80.0%. The abnormal of SEP is characteristic of the amplitude of P40 decreased, there into two cases combination with spinal cord were manifested with the amplitude decreased. The abnormal of EMG was noted in 19 cases , with a abnormality rate of 63.3% .All of the abnormal cases were received operation. Conclusion:Combination detection of SEP and EMG might increase the abnormality rate of electroneurophysiological detection in nerve root damages in patients suffered from lumbar in tervertebral disc extrusion, and provide reliable evidence for the diagnosis of degrees and damages to the nerve root, as well as the peripheral nerve and spinal cord. |
