Objective:To Study the relationship between coronary and carotid , renal , iliac artery atherosclerosis by angiography. Methods:From January 2002 to December 2003,carotid ,renal and iliac angiography was performed immediately in103 patients after coronary angiography(CAG) to screen carotid, renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis. Clinical characteristics, procedural complications, and degree of carotid, renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis were recorded for further analysis. Bun,Cr of 103 patients were measued before and after Angiography. Results:The overall prevalence of carotid, renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis were 15%(15/103),21%(22/103),20%(22/103);The incidence rate carotid , renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis was significant differences between the coronary artery disease(CHD) group and control non-CHD (P<0.05);The more serious the coronary heart disease, the higher incidence rate carotid , renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis was . (P<0.05 ); Multivariate analysis indicated the prevalence of carotid , renal and iliac artery atherosclerosis was significantly related to diabetes mellitus, high blood cholesterol and multivessel coronary artery disease; The procedure had no significant effect on the Bun,Cr(P>0.05).Conclusions:There were close relationship between coronary and carotid , renal , iliac artery atherosclerosis.
