Objective To investigate the prognostic factors in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Methods One hundred sixty patients with differentiated, thyroid carcinoma were treated from 1989 to 1997. The prognostic factors of those patients were studied by univariate analysis and multivariate analysis methods. Results The survival rate of 5-year, 10-year was92. 8% and87. 1% respectively.The uivariate analysis showed that the significant prognostic factors were age, clinic stage, lymph node metastasis , sex and number of tumors. The multivariate analysis show that clinic stage ,lymph node metastasis and age were prognostic factors respectively. Conclusion The significant prognostic factors could be clinic stage , lymph node metastasis and age in patients with differentiated carcinoma.
