Objectives To establish the Echinococcus mutilocularis (E.m) infected rat models by injection of protoscolex or oncosphere. Establishing SD-to-Wistar allograft heart transplantation models. Methods 24 heathlthy Wistar rats were used in the study. Animals were ranomly divided into: (l)control group: SD-to-healthy Wistar(n=8) (2)infected E. m. group: SD-to-E.m. infected Wistar rat (n=8). (3)SD→Wistar(n=8):CsA 10mg/kg Id. The allograft heart tranplantation was achieved by anastomosis the donor heart of SD rats into the cervicle of the Wistar rats. All the agents were administrated orally one time per day.Graft samples were harvested for histopathological examination and immunohistochemical study. CD4±,CD8,infiltration in the graft and spleen were detected. Results The mean survival time of the grafts in E. m. infected rats was 11.63 ± 6.02d and 6± 0.53d in none-infected rats. The results were significantly different. Conclusion Em. infected can induce the deviation of the Th2 typy cytokines, which is benificial to the survival of the grafts. Infiltration of the Eosinophils is primary cause that leads the grafts to be rejected and failure.
