The Alterations Of ENOS And INOS Expression In Corpus Cavernosum Of Hyperlipidemia Rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of hyperlipidemia on eNOS and iNOS in corpus cavernosum of ratsMethods: Twenty-eight male SD rats were divided randomly into two groups ,experiment group and control group .The experiment group were feed on l%cholesterole diet while the control group were breed on normal diet.After six weeks and twelve weeks,a half of each group were selected respectively for testing erectile function and then were sacrified for the detection of enos and inos by streptaridin-peroxidase immunohistochemistry techniques (SP method).Results: significant difference exists in erection frequency and expression of enos, inos between experiment group and control group (p<0.05) and it was also of significant diffirence in expression of enos and inos in two experiment groups(p<0.05).Conclusions: The expression of enos and inos in corpus cavernosum can be dramatically affected by uncontrolled hyperlipidemia.The decreasing of enos and inos expression may be one of the mechanisms underlying erectile dysfunction in hyperlipidemia subjects.
