Objective:To observe the clinical effect of intramedullary interlocking nail for the treatment of nonunion fracture of long bone and find out the problem.Methods: 30 cases of long bone nonunion fracture were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail from Nove.2001 to Octo.2003.Open reduction,reaming,bone graft were performed in all these cases, observe the clinical effect of this method and evaluate the result.Results:The follow up was from 6 to 20 months.All patients achieved bony union.The healing time varied from 3~8 months,averaged 5.1 months.Infection,refraction and breaking of nails did not occur.Conclusion:The usage of intramedullary interlocking nail in the treatment of nonunion has many advantages,which is a satisfied method.
