Studying The QOL For The Residents Of Three Gorges Reservoir In Chongqing

OBJECTIVE: Studying the whole QOL status from 1990 to 2002 for the inhabitant in three gorge reservoir , and researching the transect QOL both before and after emigration . Exploring the affected factor to QOL , in the same time , seeking after the new measures to enhance and amend the QOL . Offering the scientific data for the government to promote turning ChongQing reservoir into easy society early . METHODS: To resigning the index system about QOL aiming at the inhabitant of the three gorge reservoir , and caculating the QOL in virtue of the comprehensive index . These analysis index include habitation,education,traffic,medical and health care etc . The relevant investigating questionnaire has also be established , which cover 42 items . And investigate cosmically the resident in the three gorge reservoir by sample and questionnaire . Making and analizing statistically the datum is in virtue of the software about SPSS and SAS8.1 . RETHULTS: ①The QOL index in the 16 region is ascending year by year , the value of comprehensive index go up from 20.68 to 44.54 during the 13 years , the rising rate is 8.9 percent annually . But among the 16 region , there is imbalance development and large gap , the central city zone of ChongQing is ranking firstly , but for the county(FengJie,YunYang,WuXi,WuShan) , their index is ranked rearly . In the secondary index , the economy index has maximal correlation with the comprehensive index , the correlated coefficient is up to 0.97 . ②Before emigration , the comprehensive index about QOL of the townsman and countryman is respectively 38.62 and 28.16 , after emigration , the figure is separately 46.42 and 36.08.So , there is remarkable change after emigration for both the town and the country , the result of statistic in town is t=3.333 and P＜0.01 , the value in country is t=4.058 and P＜0.005 . Futher more,regardless before or after emigration , the gap between the town and the country is all the same existent , before emigration , the statistical result is t=3.528 and P＜0.01 , after emigration , the value is t=3.825 and P＜0.005 . CONCLUTIONS: From 1990 to 2002 , the QOL for the resident in the region of three gorge reservoir is rising tardily year by year , but the development is not balanced among 16 county . The QOL of the resident in the Chongqing reservoir has been improved and advanced after emigration for both the town and the country , but the gap between the town and the country is still existed.The problem and issue from the country is remarkably standing out . It is need to expediate the economy building , vigorously progressing the society service project and the foundation project of medical treatment,education,traffic,communication, message,and etc. And to making great efforts to resole and melioration the problems from the farmer,county and agriculture , which is the emphases exposure to fleetly boost the integer QOL for the whole resident in the three gorge reservoir .
