ObjectiveTo evaluate percutaneous hot-saline injection therapy of hepatic malignancies. Methods30 lesions of 25 patients with primary or metastatic hepatic malignancies were treated by TACE and PSIT guided by CT. All patients were followed up by CT every month. ResultsTACE and PSIT were performed in 22 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and 3 cases with metastatic liver cancer. Liver function classification of all patients was in Child A. 18 of 25 patients were male, others were female. Diameter of 30 lesions average from1.3 cm to 7.0 cm. 5 of 30 lesions completely disappear; 18 of 30 lesions arrive CR, and 6 of 30 lesions have no change. Only one lesions relapse. ConclusionsPSIT as a local thermal therapy is becoming a kind of new palliative treatment for hepatic malignancies, which not only is safe, minimally invasive, and effective ; but also can be used with combination of TACE .
