Objective To investigate the effect of droperidol of clinical dose on Q-Tc by continuous epidural analgesia, and to search for the mechanism in it simplely. Methods 30 ASA I -II female patients scheduled for continuous epidural analgesia undergoing abdominal gynecological operations were randomly allocated to three groups, there were 10 patients in each group: group I (control group , no droperidol was added in the bump); group II (droperidol 5mg was added in the bump); group III (droperidol 10mg was added in the bump ); and the other drugs used in the pump were same in all the three groups. The record of 12-lead ECG were collected before the operation and 24h, 48h after the operation. The Q-Tc were measured and calculated simple-blind.Result There were no difference in the Q-Tc of preoperation in all the groups. Compared with the Q-Tc of preoperation, the Q-Tc of postoperation didn't change significantly. Conclusion Droperidol of clinic dose offers no effect on Q-Tc by continuous epidural analgesia. It is safe to be used by continuous epidural infusion...
