Pharmacognostic Study Of Zhizi

In order to improve the methods of evaluating Zhizi squality, thepaper went deep into the following research.I . The paper made comparative research of Zhizi and its varieties, and depicted the result of morphological and histological characters on crude drugs and some physical and chemical properties.II. Geniposide and crocins are the effective elements in the Zhizi. This paper was going to use RP-HPLC to determine the content of the crocins in the Zhizi. There is no crocins can be used as the standard, so firstly, four compound of crocins and geniposide were isolated from the Zhizi. Crocin-1, crocin-3 were identified on the basis of UV, IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, MS. Geniposide was identified on the basis of TLC. During the process, we found out the method of extracting and isolating the crocins and the geniposide. This method is easy to carry out. It can be applied in industry.III. A RP-HPLC was established to determine the content of geniposide. 12 batches of crude drugs were analyzed . The result shows that the content of geniposide have some relation with the breed. RP-HPLC can be used as the conventional way to determine the content of geniposide in Zhizi.It can also be applied to the quality control of Zhizi's medicinalpreparations.IV. A RP-HPLC was established to determine the content of crocin-1 and crocins.33 batches of crude drugs were analyzed. The results are: 1.The content has no obvious relation with the places of origin and the breed; 2. The content has a very close relation with the color of the crude drugs .The redder the crude drugs is, the higher the content is; 3. The time to store the crude drugs has the influence on the content, the longer you store it , the lower the content is. Please avoid the light and store it in low temperature .The RH-HPLC has a high precision and accuracy. It can be used as the conventional way to determine the content of crocin-1 and crocin. it can also be applied as the quality control ofthe Zhizi s medicinal preparations.V. A method was developed for Zhizi fingerprint. We used a HPLC method of gradient elution for the separating of the crocins, 33 batches of crude drugs was analyzed and the HPLC-FPS for Zhizi, Xiaoguozhizi, Dahuazhizi were established . The results are the fingerprint established can reflect the similarities of the crocins and the different living conditions and its varieties do not cause large differences in quality, but only a small differences in quantity .The fingerprint conforms to" the technological prescribe of the research on Chinese medicinal injections" . It provided a reference for establishing quality standard of Zhizi.
