Objectives: Using S-P immunohistochemistry method, we examined the expression of HGF ,c-Met,MVD and PCNA in endometrial carcinoma. Then the correlation and significance was analyzed between the four factors and the stage and differentiation of endometrial carcinoma. Methods: Using S-P immunohistochemistry method, we examined the expression of HGF, c-Met, MVD and PCNA in the specimens of 52 cases with endometrial carcinoma, 22 cases with normal endometrium. Then the correlation was analyzed between the for factors and the stage and differentiation of endometrial carcinoma by x2 test, Fisher exact probability, analysis of variance, rank sum test and Spearman correlation analysis.Results:1. The expression of HGF and c-Met in EC are significantly higher than in normal endometrium .2. The more later or lower of endometrial carcinoma, the expression of c-Met are higher. There is direct ratio between c-Met and the stage and differentiation of endometrial carcinoma. The expression of c-Met is closely associated with the stage and differentiation of endometrial carcinoma.3. The PCNA index (53.54±13.37)and MVD(45.53±7.71)in EC are significantly higher than in normal endometrium. The PCNA index is significant correlated with MVD in endometrial carcinoma.4. The PCNA index and MVD is closely associated with the stage and differentiation of endometrial carcinoma.5. The PCNA index and MVD in EC are increased in turn by group of HGF and/or c-Met negtive, positive, strong positive expression, and there are marked difference among them. Conclusions: Overexpression of HGF, c-Met , MVD and PCNA facilitates the malignant progress of endometrium; c-Met is one of the prognostic factor of endormetrial carcinoma. There are correlation between the proliferative activity, vascular generation of EC and its secretion of HGF/c-Met, HGF/c-Met can facilitate tumor cells proliferation and angiogenesis. Block the action of HGF/c-Met or anti-angiogensis will be new method in the therapy of endormetrial carcinoma. |
