Intelligence, including memory, is an important area of life science being researched at present. In this paper, the diet condition of the college students , IQ (intelligence quotient) and memory is investigated in Henan Vocational-Technical Teacher's College, and the relations between IQ. memory and nutrients intake are studied, and the effect of adjusted diet on intelligence and memory is also studied by paired test.The results of correlation research show:(1)Among the people investigated there are positive correlations between memory and protein, fat. calcium , iron , VA, VB1, VB2 or Vc intake. And the coefficients of correlation between memory and protein, fat , VA or Vc intake are 0.3887**, 0.3247**, 0.6126**, 0.4975** respectively and are significant at 1% level; and there are negative correlations between memory and carbohydrate, energy or phosphorus intake, The coefficient of correlation between memory and energy intake is -0.2096**, which is significant at 1% level also.(2) Among the people investigated there are positive correlations between IQ and protein, fat , calcium , iron , VA, VB1, VB2 or VC intake. And the coefficients of correlation between IQ and protein, fat , VB1 intake are 0.5954**, 0.5828**, 0.4239** respectively,which are significant at 1% level, and the coefficient of correlation between IQ and calcium intake is 0.2841*,which is significant at 5% level. And there are negativecorrelations between IQ and carbohydrate, energy, phosphorus or niacin intake, The coefficients of correlation between them are -0.5316 , -0.3998**, -0.4227** and -0.6011 ** respectively , which are significant at 1% level also.(3) The balanced diet may be the necessary nutritional condition for individuals to develop their intelligence and memory fully.The results of paired test show:(1) Adjusting the structure of diet and making it more and more balanced can improve the memory of the students tested. There is a highly significant correlation between the memories before and after the test . and the coefficient of correlation between them is 0.942**, which is significant at 1 % level.(2) Adjusting the structure of diet and making it more and more balanced can improve the IQ of the students tested. There is a highly significant correlation between the IQ before and after the test, and the coefficient of correlation between them is 0.685* *, which is significant at 1% level.(3) The balanced diet is the better nutritional condition for individuals to fully reveal their intelligence and memory.
