Viscus discrimination is one of the important part that use the viscera theory to guide the clinical diagnosis and treatment. It is based on the viscera physiology and pathology and is the important prop in the diagnosis means. The theory can be used in many internal medicine diseases. It can be say that the viscera diagnosis is the core in all of the Traditional Chinese Medicine means, and can be used in other diseases, too.The main aim of this paper is to explore and to summarize the main medical books in the Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasty. The study is based on the books of A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, General Treatise on the Causes and Symptoms of Diseases, Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies and A Supplement to the Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold, The Medial Secrets of An Official, and so on .It has textual researched the forms of the morbid symptom, certificate, differentiation method ,and how they applied in the course of diseases diagnosis and therapy. This paper expatiates on the essence of the Viscus discrimination in Jin ,Sui and Tang that concludes the physiology, pathology, symptom, diagnosis, etc. in the five internal organs. Especially in the General Treatise on the Causes and Symptoms of Diseases, and Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies and A Supplement to the Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold, the writers related the four seasons, Five Elements and the Channels and Collaterals to discuss the viscus symptom. For instance, Sun Simiao took the actual condition, chills and fever as the key link in Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies and A Supplement to the Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold, to discussed the viscus. From all of the books in the dynasty Jin Sui and Tang, we can find that the books writed the viscus in detail. And shows that the TCM theory takes the five internal organs as the core that all viscus can be see a integrated system. Jin, Sui and Tang dynasty,s school of viscus discrimination has greatly benefited the TCM community and has played a great role in the understanding and development of TCM theories.
