| This article is meant to study and explore the role of the combination of astragalusroot, dried rehmannia root and red sage root in treating diabetese. It's theoretically believed that fever and Yin deficiency, blood stasis and Qi deficiency are important pathogenesises of diabetese while nourishing Yin, remove the heat, benefiting Qi and activate blood are the basic treating methods. Based on this, the above 3 medicinal herbs are selected and put in the appropriate combination. This study observes the effect of this combination on such indicators as blood sugar, insulin, blood-fat, blood rheology, SOD, MDA, etc. It turned out that this combination composed of the 3 herbs is capable of lowering blood sugar, improve blood rheology, update SOD of cells, reduce the level of MDA, removeing the excessive peroxides in human body. All this suqqests that this combination can prevent and treat diabetese and its complications from many perspectives, such as lowering blood sugar and fat, promoting blood rheology and can direct our clinical practice. |
