Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of gatifloxacin injection on moderate and severe acute respiratory and urinary infection. Method In the randomized, double-blind, comparative study, patients were randomly divided into two groups(test group and control group. Patients were respectively treated with Gatifloxacin injection and levofloxacin injection 200mg twice daily for 7-14 days. Results l)At the end of treatment ,clinical cure rate and efficacy rate of two groups were 47.22% and 86.11%, 41.67% and 80.56%. Seven days after treatment, clinical cure rate and efficacy rate of two groups were 48.57% and 88.57%, 48.48% and 93.94%. At the end of treatment ,eradication rates of two groups were 96.77% and100.0%. Seven days after treatment , eradication rates were 93.33% and 100.0%. The values of two groups has no significant differences (P>0.05). 2)Adverse drug reactions were slight to moderate. ADRs rates were 25% and 21.05%. Conclusion Gatifloxacin injection is effective for moderate and severe acute respiratory and urinary infection.
