Background: HuoXiangZhengQi Liquid was valid to therapy of attach asthma. Objective: With the reported studies of antiasthma on clinic and experiment of HuoXiangZhengQi Liquid , LiKeChuan Aerosol was a new compound Chinese medicine preparation on the base of these studies, we estblished an asthma model which occured guinea-pigs to remit the wheezing and panting induced by the mixture of Histamine disphosphate monohydrate and Cetylcholine chloride. To explore antiasthmatic mechanism of LiKeChuan Aerosol, we investigated the effect of antiasthma.Methods:The prescription of LiKeChuan Aerosol was derived from the part of HuoXiangZhengQi Liquid. They were composed of Mognolia officinalis Pericarpium citi reticulatac, Agastache rugosa and so on . Active components of LiKeChuan Aerosol were Magnolol I, Hesperidin, Pogostone, essential oils and so on.(l)reference [1] Magonolol I, Hesperidin and so on were extracted by Acid-Base Method, as they were soluted with lye first and then precipitated with acid. Essetial oils were extracted and collected by steam-distillation Method from Mognolia officinalis , Pericarpium citi reticulatae, Agastache rugosa and so on.(2)reference [2]: Drug inducing asthma Method (Nebula inducing nebula Method) was applied by antiasthmatic experiment. Tracheal contraction of Guinea-pigs was induced by histamine disphosphate monohydrate or Cetylcholine chloride if guinea-pigs inhaled by aerosol, and then they were given rise to breathing rapidly. wheezing or esphyxiate, even twitch. tumble and so on. It was called animalexperimental model of asthma. The method was applied to investigate the effect of antiasthma. 40 guinea-pigs, male or female, were randomly divided into four groups as research subjects. The control group(normal saline)(n=10), the average weight was 218±11.1g; LiKeChuan group(n=10), the average weight was 218.5±10.1g; The Salbutamol group(n=10), the average weight was 217±10.06g; Atropine sulfate group(n=10), the average weight was 220±12.02g.Results: 1.The wheezing and panting incubation period(s) that guinea-pigs had inhaled drug by aerosol was showed: The control group was 118.2±43.74; LiKeChuan group was 177.1±47.54; Salbutamol group was 248.0±49.86; Atropine sulfate group was 174.5±47.08. These numbers of guinea-pigs given rise to tumble were showed: The control group was 7, LiKeChuan group was 3, Salbutamol group was 1, Atropine sulfate group was 4.2.The antiasthmatis experiment hint : The antiasthmatis effect in LiKeChuan group was stronger than in the control group(P<0.01). The antiasthmatis effect in Atropine sulfate group was stronger than in the control group(P<0.05). The antiasthmatis effect in Salbutamol group was singificatly stronger than that in the control group(P<0.001).The antiasthmatis effect in LiKeChuan group was similar to that in Atropine sulfate group(P>0.05). The antiasthmatis effect in LiKeChuan group was weaker than that in Salbutamol group (P<0.01). The antiasthmatis effect in Salbutamol group was singificatly stronger than that in any other group. Contrasted against each other group, these numbers of guinea-pigs given rise to tumble were showed: only was the antiasthmatis effect in Salbutamol group singificatly stronger than that in the control group(P<0.001).The surplus was no different. Conclusion: Bronchodilation in guinea-pigs with asthma is significantly improved after inhaling LiKeChuan Aerosol , Atropine sulfate Aerosol and Salbutamol Aerosol .The effect of Salbutamol Aerosol is the strongest, and LiKeChuan Aerosol is similar to Atropine sulfate Aerosol. The degree of antiastma of LiKeChuan Aerosol is possibly similar to that of Atropine sulfate Aerosol.
