Along with increasing of anti-stimulate, consummating of inspection means and deepening of recent theories such as Sports Fatigue and Free radical Theory, the research about Chinese traditional medicine is increasing as well as. Among which the function of ginseng in improving sport stamina and removing fatigue is most noticeable. However, some reports say that another plant named "Ciwujia" , which belongs to the same type as ginseng, is better in function of removing fatigue than ginseng. Although lots of studies about "Ciwujia" have been set forth by scholars, the research is limited to the Oxidative endurance exercise, but not aiming at sports of short time and high intensity, let alone the research on recovering from the fatigue from anaerobic training. The effect of Ciwujia and combination on improving the physical performance of anaerobic training rats by weight carrying swimming test. 60 rats were divided into two groups , the experimental group and the control group. The control group was devided intoRest control group and training group. Only the experimental group took traditional Chinese medicine. After injection into SD-rats stomach from mouth a dose of 10g/kg 1hr before exercise, the rats with a weight of 13%~18% of their body mass were made to interval anaerobic swim at high intensity for 6 days still water pool. 8 sets of swimming were experimented each of the 6 days, and each set lasted for 20s with 40s interval. Half months later, the indexes were measured in both groups after anaerobic training. During the exercise measured changes in weight, search its nervous, the condition of eating and drinking. The results showed that both training and training combined with Ciwujia administration increased the content of Hb, and the activities of LDH and SOD, and reduced the content of BUN and LD .Compared with control group, after anaerobic swimming .while the LDH activities, the blood lactate concentrations and the MDA content significantly decreased (P<0. 01), the SOD activities and the Hb content obviously increased (P<0. 05); the body weight was obviously increased . Ciwujia and combination could decrease the increase of BUN (P<0. 01) after strenuous exercise, and accelerate of BUN after exercise, the blood lactate concentrations and the MDA content significantly decreased (P<0. 05) .It was showed that Ciwujia was beneficial to the anaerobic performance and the Ciwujia has a potential antifatigue effect and may improve the physical performance of rats.
