Object: To search for morphologic evidence for the existence of opioid receptor in human peripheral blood vessels, and the difference between the positive expression rates of the three subtypes, the same subtype expression rate in different tissues; to reveal the integral link between the neuroendocrine system and the cardiovascular system, probe into the patterns and the mechanisms of the effect, the path of the signal transduction, to pose suggestion to the clinical reseach and the exploitation of new drug. Methods: the expression of kappa-opioid receptor(KOR),mu-opioid receptor(MOR) and delta-opioid receptor(DOR) were detected by immunohistochemistry(IHC) ,the total 180 cases of tissues containing blood vessels were received. 20 cases of uterus, 12 cases of lung, 12 cases of ovary, 10 cases of spleen, 6 cases of tyroid. The positive standard is the brown color up in the blood vessel wall. Results: the positive rates of KOR, MOR and DOR are 68.3%, 56.7% and 53.3%, there are no significant statistic difference between the three rates( x2=3.088, p>0.05); the positive rates of the same receptor in different tissues show no significant statistic difference(KOR: x2=6.617, p>0.05; MOR: x2=7.112, p>0.05; DOR: x2=7.815, p>0.05). And the most of the expression are located in the endothelium of blood vessels. Conclusion: Opioid receptors indeed exist in human peripheral blood vessels, there are no significant statistic difference between the three receptors ' positive expression and the same receptor in different tissues show no difference also. The opioid may have a direct effect on blood vessels acting through opioid receptors on the blood vessels.Li Zhi(Pathology) Directed by, Pro. Xiangrui, Ji...
