As important cell cycle regulators, Rb and E2F-1 participate in a complex feedback regulative cycle with CyclinDl, p16 and CDK4/6, which can promote cell proliferation from G1 stage to S stage. Objective: To investigate the correlation of Rb, E2F-1 as cell cycle regulators with papillomatosis and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of breast. Methods: Immunohistochemistry is used to detect the expression of Rb and E2F-1 protein in 40 cases of mild papillomatosis(MP), 40 cases of serious papillomatosis (SP)and 40 cases of DCIS; Hybridization in situ (ISH) is used to detect the expression of Rb mRNA and E2F-1 mRNA in the same groups. Results: 1. The Expression of Protein(1) The expression of E2F-1 proteinThe positive rates of the expression of E2F-1 protein are 20. 0% in MP, 47. 5% in SP, 77. 5% in DCIS, respectively. There is significant difference among the three groups (x12=26. 496, P1
