IntroductionHypertension is a common disease that can harm health of hu-man. Persistantly high blood pressure may be a major dangerous factor resulting in many kinds of cardiovascular disease. It is reported that hypertensive patients who exceed 80% can coexist one or several kinds of risk factors. The therapy of hypertension not only should de-crease blood pressure, but also should control risk factors.Recent years, the system of coagulative blood and fibrinolysis in hypertensive patients is abnormal, which is attached importance. Therefore, plasms p - selection( GMP -140) and von Willebrand Fac-tor (vWF) , reflecting platelet activation and endothelial function, also are paid close attention in the development of hypertension. However, the study comparing the two targets simultaneously has been not com-pleted. This article surveys plasma GMP - 140 and vWF of essential hypertensive patients and healthy people at the same time and takes use of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor ( ACEI) perindopril to decrease blood pressure. We want to probe into prevention measure of hypertension and risk factors by means of alteration of the two targets before and after applying perindopril.MethodsAll 75 patients, who are diagnosed essential hypertension, 42 men, 33 women, aged from 40 to 60 years old. They are divided into three groups by Diastolic Blood Pressure( DBF) . Every group is 25 people. All selective patients are diagnosed hypertension the first time and those that are not the first time have not taken medicine of lower-ing blood pressure and anticoagulation for two weeks. We also select 15 healthy people as normal group. The clinical data included age, sex, weight, hypertension histo-ry , smoking history, symptom, blood pressure, electrocardiogram (EGG).During observation, hypertensive patients are given to perindopril (4mg/day). After two weeks treatment, if DBF exceeds 90 mmHg, we will increase dosage. Those selective patients are surveyed the a-mount of plasma GMP - 140 and vWF before lowering blood pressure and after four weeks treatment by enzyme - linked immunosorbent as-say (ELISA).Statistical analysis is performed by t test. Comparison among sev-eral means, q test is used. For categorical data, x2 test is used. Per-centage analysis, rank sum test is used. Among DBP, plasma GMP -140 and vWF, correlative analysis is used.ResultsThe age, history, weight of three groups hypertensive patients is equal. There is no remarkble difference among following risk factors including smoking history, cardiovascular family history, high voltage of left ventriculum and hypertrophy of left ventriculum( p >0. 05) .In clinical data, the amount of plasma GMP - 140 and vWF rises remarkably in 75 hypertensive patients ( p < 0. 01). There is a great chang among different levels of hypertensive patients ( p < 0. 05 ) . Af-ter four weeks treatment, blood perssure has been normal in every group. Plasma GMP - 140 and vWF have been lowered remarkably too, which is contrasted to untreatment, difference is significant ( p < 0.01) ;which is contrasted to healthy group, difference is no signifi-cant^ >0. 05) . Through correlative analysis, there is clear positive correlation between DBP and GMP - 140 or vWF( r = 0. 638 , p < 0. 01; rs = 0. 527 , P < 0. 01 ) . Morever, clear positive correlation be-tween GMP - 140 and vWF is shown( rs =0. 668 , p <0. 01) .DiscussionIt is known that the functoin of renin - angiotension system andsympathetic system be strengthened in hypertensive patients, whichmay lead to platelet activation and endothelial damage. Platelet activa-tion induces thrombosis easily; Endothelial damage induces blood ves-sel systolic and diastolic unbalance. Therefore, there is apparent cor-relation between blood pressure and cardiovascular danger. GMP -140 is a kind of glucoprotein in the a - granules of platelets of and in the Weibel - palade bodies of endothelial cells. It is found by McEver firstly. GMP - 140 mediates adhensive interactions of activated endo-thelial cells or...
