PrefaceAcute myocardial infarction is acute ischemic necrosis of myocardium , which has the character of rapid onset and high mortality. The risk factor includes age, gender, the level of cholesterol, hypertension , diabetes, overweight, occupation, diets, heredity et al. Just after 1988, Saikku et al reported the first article about the association of the Cpn infection and CHD, the infection etiology for the atherosclerotic disease were paid more attention to. Some studies have been carried out recently by the researchers of Europe and America and there have been some evidence in some aspects, such as seroepidemiology, infectious epidemiology, pathology, interventive therapy, animal models et al. Although studies in seroepidemiology were the most, there were still arguments. Few studies are carried out in our country.Subjects and methods1. Subjects;1) Cases ( n = 70) were the patients exactly diagnosed AMI by China Medical University No. 1 and No. 2 Affiliated Hospital and Shenyang City No. 4 Hospital.2 ) Controls ( n - 70 ) were the persons selected from the employ-ees of some unit who had no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, matching for age and gender with the cases.2. Methods:1) Epidemical investigation: design the questionnaire; fill in it by means of inquiring in sites.2) Serum detection; blood samples were drawn after hospitalized. After serum was separated, the presence of specific IgG antibod-y to Cpn was assayed using EIA test commercially available from lab-systems company in Finland, according to the struction of the kit strictly. After these, the evaluated value, EIU would be calculated according to the formula EIU8ample = ( A8ample - Ablank ) / ( Acal - Ablank) ; the standard of positive is EIU >45, that of negative is EIU <=45.3. Indicators:1) the index of investigation includes: (1)the infection history of respiratory tract ; (2)the established risk factor of AMI; (3)the common status(4)the incidence instance of AMI this time 2 ) the marker of detection: (1)the marker of Cpn infection (2)the marker of serum lipid4. Statistical methods:Input the data to computer, statistical analysis of dichotomous variables was by chi - square test while t - test was used to assess differences between two groups for continuous variables and multiple factors analysis was by Logistic analysis. The software used SPSS 10.0.Results1. Common status of cases and controlsThere were statistical difference between the cases and controls in some risk factors, such as the family history of atherosclerosis, addicted to salt, mental labor, hypertension, stroke, smoking, CHOL, HDL et al. There were no statistical differences between the cases and controls in some risk factors, such as age, gender, A character, drinking, TG, LDL, the body height, the body weight, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, BMI, the childhood infection history, the post school infection history et al. The level of CHOL, HDL in cases were lower than that in controls.2. The relationship between the positive rate of Cp. IgG and AMI 1)The distribution of the positive rate of Cp. IgG in cases andcontrolsThe positive rate of cases and controls was respectively 64. 3% , 70.0%. There were no statistical difference. The value of OR (95% CI) is 0. 77 ( 0.38,1.57 ). After logistic regression analysis, there are still no difference. The value of OR (95% CI) was 0. 62(0. 22, 1.74), X2 =0.813.2 ) The fluencies of age and gender on the distribution of Cp. IgG between the cases and the controlsSamples were divided into two subgroups according to 65 years old. There were no statistical difference between cases and controls after dividing. After logistic regression analysis, no significant differences were revealed. In cases, the positive rate of non - elder subgroup was higher than that of the elder subgroup, and no significantdifferences were revealed.Samples were divided into two subgroups according to gender. Both in male subgroup and in female subgroup, there were no stat...
