| Objective: To study the effects of Ru Zeng Kang ion deverted to body on sex horomone levels, pathologic change, viscera coefficient and estrogen and progesterone receptors(ER,PR) in the estrogen-induced mastoplasis model of rats.Methods:40 unpregnant healthy female SD rats were randomed into normal group , model group,RuZengKang (RZK) group and RuPiXiao(RPX) group,ten rats in each group.　Except for normal group injected with saline, all the others three groups were injected with estradiol to induce mastoplasis models every other day (0.8mg/kg).RPX was invested by oral in the RPX group and RZK ion was deverted　to the rats every day,saline in normal group and model group per day. The rats were killed and serum was separated from blood after 30 days. Total estradio(E2),　prolsvtin(PRL) ,teatosterone(T) and so on sex hormones in serum were determined by radio-immunity(RIA). The size of breast and the weight of spleen,thymus,uterus,kidney were measured,with calculation of viscera coefficients.Pathological histological examination was performed on the mammary glands.Estrogen andprlgesterone receptors(ER,PR) were 　derermined 　by immunohistochemical technique.Results:1.Daily food-intake in all groups showed no significant difference(p>0.05). 2. Boby weight in anterior and posterior of experiment,　and among groups showed no difference (p>0.05).3.The size of breast of rats by statistics, comprison between normal and model groups ,model group and RPX or RZK groups,RZK and RPX groups all showed significant differences(p＜0.01). 4. The viscera coefficient of rats by statistics,　compared with normal group,uterus coefficient inmodel group increased much more(p<0.01).Uterus coefficientin RPX and RZK groups were lower than that of model group (P<0.01). RZK group was much better than RPX group(p<0.01). spleen coefficient in model group was much lower than that of normal group(p<0.01).　Compared with model group, spleen coefficient in RPX and RZK groups increased significantly(p<0.01). RZK group superior to RPX group(p<0.01). Thymus coefficient in model group was much lower than that of normal group (p<0.01).Thymus coefficient in RPX and RZK groups increased significantly(p<0.01). The two drug-given groups showed no much changes(p>0.05). 5.E2 in model group increased higher than that of normal(p<0.01). E2 in RPX and RZK groups were much lower than that of model group (p<0.01). RZK was better than RPX group(p<0.01). P in model group was lower than that of normal group (p<0.01).P in RPX and RZK groups increased much more(p<0.01).The comparison between RPX and RZK groups showed significant differences(p<0.01). Compared with normal group, FSH level increased significantly(p<0.01).FSH in RPX and RZK group were much lower than that of model group.Comparison between RPX and RZK groups showed no significant differences (p>0.05). PRL,LH and T showed no significant differences in this experiment(p>0.05).6.Pathological histological observation proved: rats hyperplisia of mammary glands in the model group as diffuse,more acinuc and small lobes, less fat and connective tissue ,enlarged acinus cavity and gland duct.Compared with model group, the treatment group showed much less acinic and lobes. Control group showed similar improvement but not so significant. 7. The number of estrogen and progesteronereceptors(ER,PR) :The number of ER and PR positive cells in model group is much more than that of normal group.RPX and RZK groups show a few of positive cells.RZK group is better than RPX group. Conclusinos:The experimental study suggests: Deverting RZK ion has an obvious role of improving mastoplasis, the routes maybe: 1.The drug ion was deverted by the electric machine to the focus directly and eliminate the stagnation of QI, blood s tasis and phlegm stagnaney.2.
