The Study On The Color Changes And Of Performance SY-1 Maxillofacial Silicone Elastomers

To farther analyse SY-1 silicone elastomers's colour stability, we test it's colour trait including four step experiment using MiNoLtO portable colorimeter (CS-321), ultimately we hope the result were used to offer guidance for producing maxillofacial elastomers, reasonably determining material's life and using, cleaning, maintaining daily. The study is consist of four step experiments:First test: Testing SY-1 silicone elastomers' Infinity Optical Thickness: Many scholar calculate silicone elastomers' Infinity Optical Thickness according to crical value AE= 1.5.The study tests SY-lsilicone elastomers' Infinity Optical Thickness(#E=1.5)on standard black and white board to offer guidance for colour processing on surface of supports in maxillofacial prostheses.Second test: Testing the color changes of SY-lsilicone elastomer before and after polymerization:L ,a ,b color parameters of SY-lsilicone elastomer were measured precure and postcure with MINOLTA chromaticiry instrument(CS-321).The color difference(A E)between precure and postcure was calculated as #E[(#L)²+(#a)²+(#b)²]^1/2 and the value can offer guidance for matching colour while applying maxillofacial silicone elastomer in clinic.Third test: Testing the effect of two kind of cleaner on SY-lsilicone elastomer's colour stability:We testing two kind of cleaner easy acceptably on SY-lsilicone elastomer's colour-4-stability:75% alcohol and distilled water. Chroma value were measured before and aftersoak/with MINOLTA chromaticity instrument (CS-321).The color difference(#E)betweenbefore and after soak was calculated. The result were used to offer guidance for cleaning andmaintaining daily.Fouth test: Testing the colouration effect of ectogenic stain on SY-1 silicone elastomer:Wetesting three kind of ectogenic stain on SY-1 silicone elastomer's colouration: tea,coffee andred wine. Chroma value were measured before and after soaLwith MINOLTA chromaticityinstrument(CS-321). The color difference(#E)between before and after soak was calculated.The result were used to offer guidance for using and maintaining daily.The study's results are following:K Y-l Silicone elastomers' Infinity Optical Thickness value is 7.60mm(#E=1.5).2? The color difference(AE)of SY-lsilicone elastomer before and after polymerization was1.92?. 23(#E>1.5),and the color difference(#E)of SY-lsilicone elastomer betweenprecure and postcure has been changed detected by naked eye. SY-lsilicone elastomer'sbright enhanced? and tone was not changed obviously.3?The effect of distilled water on SY-lsilicone elastomer's colour stability is weak,but theeffect of 75% alcohol is relatively strong whose effect is in the acceptable range in clinic.4? The colouration effect of three kind of ectogenic stain on SY-lsilicone elastomer is verydifferent which is stepped-up along with soaking time increase. Of three kind of ectogenicstain,the effect of red wine is most strong which makes SY-lsilicone elastomer red,and teamakes SY-lsilicone elastomer yellow,in addition SY-lsilicone elastomer's bright dropsunder coffee's effect.
