Study On The Effect Of Changtong Oral Liquid On The Fibrinolytic Activity And Hematology Of Rabbits Insulted With Intestinal Adhesion

Objective:To investigate the effect of Changtong Oral Liquid on the postoperational intestinal adhension in rabbits and explore the possible mechanisms underlying this effect.Methods:72 mature male rabbits were utilized. Intestinal adhensive models were made as reference with the guidance presented by Thomas and Rhoads. The rabbits were then randomly divided into 12 groups. Group 1 and 2 were orally supplemented with saline and group 3 to 6 with CTOLin doses of 5g,10g,20g/Kg and Vitamin E 0.5g/Kg respectively. The adhesion was graded on the 7th day after operation and the blood was drawn to evaluate the effect of CTOL on the fibrinolytic activity,hemorheological indexes and platelet maxium aggregation percentage of the experimental rabbits.Results:All the animals were survived and the incision was exempted from infection seven days after operation. The present study demonstrated that:1) CTOL could exert a markedly preventive effect on the intestinal adhesion,which was significantly better than that by vitamin E( P<0.05);2) CTOL could effectively inhibit TPA activity and increase the PAI activity as well as decreased the fibronogen level in the plasma. Compared with controls and vitamin E groups,P<0.05;3) CTOL could remarkably decreased the whole blood reduction. Compared with controls and vitamin E groups,P<0.05.Conclusion:CTOL can exert evidently effect on the postoperative intestinal adhesion,which prevailed over that by vitamin E. The underlyingmechanism may involve elevating PAA,decreasing the plasma fibronogenand whole blood reduction and preventing the thrombotic formation.
