The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of zedoary and Chaishaoliujunzitang matching zedoary with different dosage (large, middling and small dosage) in the treatment of chronic liver injury caused by blood serum albumin (BSA) of calf . In order to pursue the curative or side effects and regularity of using zedoary and zedoary matching Chaishaoliujunzitang in varied degrees in treatment of immunity chronic liver injury , we observed hepatic histopathology, liver function, the activity of SOD, MDA, GSH, Na+-K -ATPase , Ca2+ ATPase and content of calium ions in hepatocyte mitochondrion and the weigh of relative expression of Be 1-2 in hepatocyte .The results show : zedoary can spur hepatocyte mitochondrion to calcium overload ,decrease the activity of ATPase, large dosage of zedoary can induce Lntramitochondrial lipid peroxidation response and increase the products of lipid peroxidation response . Meanwhile , zedoary can decrease the weigh of relative expression of Bel-2 in hepatocyte. Chaishaoliujunzitang can reduce the hepatocyte mitochondrial injuries by zedoary (the increase of ATPase anddecrease of content of calcium ions are very evident) and increase the weigh of relative expression of Be 1-2 in hepatocyte .We conclude after analyzing the experimental results : large dosage of zedoary is not suit to treat chronic liver injury , and zedoary matching Chaishaoliujunzitang can decrease the injuries of hepatocyte by zedoary .
