As a familiar central nervous system disease. Epilepsy which is a clinic syndrone is very harmful to human beings. Because of its complex pathogeny. It is still a great deal of further discussing problems in the mechanism and therapy.C-fos which widely contains in genome of normal cells is a protooncogene .It has the character Which can rapidly express in the nervous system,as the organism receives the internal or external stimuli. Therefore,It has often been used for the research of neuroscience In recent years. In the research . There were thitry male wistar rats which weighed from 200 to 250 grams. Including the normal reference team and four experimental teams(six rats each team). The experimental phenomena had been seen after half an hour,one hour,three hours,and six hours in brain tissue of Pentyl-entetrazol-kindled rats with the method of immunohistochemistry and microscope,the expressions of c-fos in the medulla visceral plexuses,hippocampus,Cerebia cortex of rats after pentylenetetrazol-induced seizures were studied with the method of immunohistochemistry and compared the fos positive cells according to the different time after seizures. The results of this study would provide a basisexperimental data to prevent epilepsy.Conclusions:l)The fos positive cells were mainly distributed the nuclei of dorsal ambiguous and solitary tract of vagus. Respectively,concentration in multiform,cone-shaped and molecule layers of hippocampus,the olfactory and pyriform cortexes of the cerebra .while,they were not seen in area postrema and lateral region of abdomen. 2)The pentylenetetrazol was injected from abdominal cavity. After thirty minutes.The fos positive cells were found in the vagus nuclei of doral,the part of dentate gyrus in the hippocampus,the olfactory cortex of cerebra.. After one hour. The c-fos expressions reached the summit . The serried fos positive cells were shown in the nuclei of dorsal,ambiguous and solitary tract of medulla visceral plexuses,the multiform,cone-shaped and molecule layers of hippocampus,as well as the olfactory and pyyiform cortexes of the cerebra .After three hours.The number of cells begun to decrease in above mentioned regions and six hours later. They were almostdisappear. 3 )In the light microscope the obvious mutation of pathology was not seen .But in the electron microscope the rough endoplasmic reticulums slight dilatation.mitochondrial cristas shedding.mitochondria swelling,marrows degeneration.nissl bodies slight lysis were seen. It indicated that in medulla visceral plexuses,hippocampus cerebra cortex,the sharp reaction was involved in the processes of epilepsy...
